With a passion for transforming smiles and a spirit of adventure, Cat Burford—also known as the Molar Explorer— has been providing exceptional dental care in Cornwall since 2005. After 14 years in general practice, she deepened her expertise in orthodontics, spending six years in a specialist referral practice before bringing her skills to Trafalgar.

Beyond the clinic, Cat’s dedication to dentistry knows no bounds. She offers emergency out-of-hours care in the community and plays a vital role as a faculty member at World Extreme Medicine, where she trains healthcare professionals to deliver dental care in some of the world’s most challenging environments.

Her commitment to making dental care accessible has taken her across the globe—from volunteering in Nepal, Africa, and South America to serving as the sole dentist in a remote New Zealand town. She believes that everyone, no matter where they are, deserves a healthy smile.

True to her name, the Molar Explorer embraces adventure in every sense. She has trekked across the Gobi Desert, conquered the peaks of the Himalayas, and completed a full crossing of Greenland. Most remarkably, she recently became the 13th woman to ski solo and unsupported to the South Pole. The same resilience, precision, and problem-solving that fuel her expeditions are at the heart of her approach to patient care.
